Gazprom Armenia to be Fined

On June 5, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia will make a decision to impose a fine on Gazprom Armenia. According to the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', the company could be fined up to 10 million drams.

It has come to our attention that the Commission conducted monitoring within the company and found that in certain cases, the requirements for the supply and use of natural gas were not adhered to.

According to the Commission, the cost estimates aimed at expanding the gas supply network were published partially on the company's official website, and those applying for connection to the new gas consumption system were charged 100% of the fee specified in the connection contract, among other findings. Whether Gazprom Armenia will appeal the Commission's decision in the near future remains to be seen.
