Former Deputy Commander of Police Forces Gegham Petrosyan Arrested on Suspicion of Murdering Zakhar Hovhannisyan in March 1 Case

Within the framework of the criminal case being investigated by the Special Investigative Service of Armenia regarding the events that took place in Yerevan from March 1 to 2, 2008, Gegham Petrosyan, who served as the deputy commander of the Armenian Police Forces and chief of staff as of March 1, 2008, has been arrested on suspicion of intentionally causing the death of Zakhar Hovhannisyan through the use of a firearm under Article 104, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

According to the Special Investigative Service, the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
