Fallen Serviceman Awarded Posthumously with the ‘Combat Service’ Medal

The President of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, has signed a decree to posthumously award Sipan Melkonyan, a serviceman from the Artsakh Defense Army’s military unit N, with the ‘Combat Service’ medal for displaying bravery while defending the state border of the Republic of Artsakh. This information was reported by the Artsakh Presidential Administration’s Information Department.

Earlier, it was reported that on June 1 at around 07:30, Sipan Serjik Melkonyan, born in 2000, a conscript serviceman stationed in the southeastern (Martuni) direction, sustained a fatal gunshot wound as a result of fire from the adversary.
