President Armen Sarkissian Appoints 5 New Ministers
President Armen Sarkissian has signed decrees for the appointment of 5 new ministers, as announced by the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
Based on the Prime Minister's proposal and in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5, Part 1 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government, President Armen Sarkissian has signed decrees appointing the following:
- Hakob Arshakyan as the Minister of High-Tech Industry, relieving him of his post as the Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies.
- Suren Papikyan as the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, relieving him of his position as Minister of Territorial Administration and Development.
- Arayik Harutyunyan as the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, relieving him of his post as Minister of Education and Science.
- Tigran Khachatryan as the Minister of Economy, relieving him of his position as Minister of Economic Development and Investments.
- Erik Grigoryan as the Minister of Environment, relieving him of his post as Minister of Nature Protection.
