Video: Dasha the Bear and Her Cubs Released into the Wild in Armenia
Dasha the bear and her two cubs, Luka and Koko, have been released into the wild in Armenia. Dasha and Misha, the bears, were kept in a small cage at a restaurant in Yerevan for 10 years until the British organization International Animal Rescue (IAR) began to address animal welfare issues in 2017.
Initially, it was believed that Dasha was sick, but it soon became clear that she was pregnant. Luka and Koko were born shortly thereafter. Misha passed away not long after that.
We initiated a project to rescue them and fought for their freedom,” quoted Alan Knight, a representative of IAR, by the British outlet The Daily Mail.
Even after their release, the bears will remain under observation.
