Car Accident in Yerevan: Mercedes Collides with Bridge Pillar and Ends Up in Opposite Lane, Injuries Reported
Today, on May 27, a car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 6:10 AM, the driver of a Mercedes vehicle with license plate 35 NF 768 was traveling on Myasnikyan Boulevard towards Heratsi Street when they veered into the opposite lane. The vehicle collided with the basalt stone barriers dividing the road, crossed the green zone, and subsequently struck a bridge pillar near the 'Belagio' restaurant complex, ending up in the opposite lane adjacent to the restaurant, partially blocking the roadway.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver had to be extracted from the car by the rescue services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Emergency medical personnel arriving promptly on the scene provided initial treatment before transporting the driver to the Number 1 University Hospital.
Authorities are preparing materials regarding the incident, and the police are investigating the identity of the driver transferred to the hospital.
