Car Found in Ravine in Syunik Province, 1 Fatality
A major and tragic car accident occurred today in Syunik Province, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
Around 4:20 PM, the driver of an unidentified vehicle with the license plate 35 ZT 335 left the roadway on the 208th km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway in the Sisian administrative area. The car rolled for about 50 meters before falling into a ravine.
As a result of the accident, one person died at the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital.
According to sources, the vehicle was registered under the name of Vahagn Sarkisyan, a resident of the village of Yeghengis in Vayots Dzor Province, and was loaded with firewood.
A criminal case has been initiated. The police and investigative department are working to establish the identities of the driver, the deceased, and the injured parties.
