Another Rescued Bear Cub: Animal Kept in Horrific Conditions for 5 Years

Recently, a brown bear from the Ararat Province's Artashat city was transferred to a rescue center in Urtsadzor, thanks to the efforts of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) and support from the International Animal Rescue Organization (IAR). The animal had been kept in the same cage for five years under terrible conditions.

The individual who identified themselves as the bear's 'caretaker' stated that the animal is approximately 9-10 years old and had been with them for around five years after being brought in from the Ministry of Defense. In an interview with the media, the citizen noted that the bear was originally taken from the Ministry by 'conservationists.' However, they did not wish to provide further details regarding the case.
