Illegal Interference by Residents with Valve System in Ejmiadzin's Zvartnots District, Reports Veolia Water

Recently, a group of residents in the Zvartnots district of Ejmiadzin publicly expressed their dissatisfaction with inadequate water supply in the area. This was reported by the public relations department of Veolia Water.

In this regard, Veolia Water deems it necessary to present the following clarification to the public:

Information about violations of the current water supply schedule in the district became known only after the aforementioned incident. Prior to this, there were no reports recorded by residents on the company's hotline, nor have there been any written complaints. Hence, there can be no talk of delayed response from the operator in this case.

The emergency service immediately went to the site to clarify the issue. The investigation revealed no accidents or technical problems in the area's distribution network, and the water quantity was also quite sufficient. Instead, violations were discovered on the openings of two valves along the water line leading to the problematic area. This indicates external interference aimed at redirecting the water flow elsewhere. Unfortunately, cases of illegal interference with the valve system by residents are not uncommon, which leads to violations in the water supply regime, as seen in this case. However, the motivation behind this particular interference is entirely unclear, as there have been no complaints regarding inadequate water supply from any address in the area.

Nevertheless, thanks to the measures taken by Veolia Water, the valves have been restored to order in a short period and water supply in Zvartnots is currently being conducted according to the schedule.
