How Bako Sahakyan's Meeting with the 'My Step' Bloc and Pashinyan Went: Zhoghavor

Yesterday, the President of Nagorno-Karabakh, Bako Sahakyan, met with the members of the 'My Step' faction of the Armenian National Assembly. According to the 'Zhoghavor' newspaper, the meeting was quite heated, with all possible questions being raised candidly, without holding back or attempting to soften the inquiries. Bako Sahakyan provided the necessary answers, albeit in a calm manner characteristic of him.

Moreover, the parliament members noted among themselves that they were initially tense but relaxed towards the end of the meeting. Throughout the discussions, all potential questions were addressed, ranging from the dispatch of troops to Armenia on March 1, to the request for the release of Robert Kocharyan, Armenia-Artsakh relations, and even Vitaly Balasanyan.

“It was a very open conversation, interesting. Our questions were straightforward, and the president’s responses were equally direct,” Arman Boshyan, one of the parliament members, told the 'Zhoghavor' newspaper.

The 'Hraparak' newspaper also reported that after submitting a request in court on Friday to change Robert Kocharyan's detention, President Bako Sahakyan traveled to Moscow and returned to Armenia on Sunday to meet with Pashinyan.

“I exclude the possibility that we will have tensions,” said Bako Sahakyan.

“The assurance from the Presidents of Artsakh has raised serious concerns for Pashinyan, especially since it followed Pashinyan's threats of revolution in Artsakh,” the newspaper writes.

Sources have indicated that Pashinyan was surprised that Bako Sahakyan and Arkadi Ghukasyan not only redirected the application addressed to the prosecutor's office to the court but also physically went to the court.

“Pashinyan communicates with the Artsakh authorities through statuses, which is why this chaos arose,” informed an Artsakh source.

According to the newspaper, during the meeting, he demanded explanations from Bako Sahakyan, who assured him that their actions were not political but purely based on human and friendly relations. In the evening, the President of Artsakh also met with the 'My Step' faction and assured that there are no plans for a counter-revolution in Artsakh.
