Fifteen Arrested After Biting and Scratching Police Officer in Yerevan
On May 20th, based on a complaint received from a company, police conducted an operation near 69 Koghbatsi Street in Yerevan at around 6:30 PM.
At 7:05 PM, officers from the 1st battalion of the police's special duties unit and the Central Division detained fifteen individuals suspected of using violence against a representative of authority. These individuals, failing to comply with the legal demands of the police, resorted to non-life-threatening violence, beginning to pull and shove the officers.
During the detainment, one person bit a police officer on the wrist, while another scratched another officer's wrist with their nails, causing bodily harm.
Two police officers sought medical assistance with diagnoses of “bite wound on the right hand” and “scratched wound on the left hand.” Investigative measures are being prepared.
