Passenger Pulls Knife and Robs Taxi Driver Instead of Paying

According to Sputnik Armenia, a crime took place in the Aragatsotn region last night.

Reports suggest that a young man from the village of Kuchak threatened his taxi driver with a knife instead of paying for his ride from Yerevan to Kuchak.

Preliminary versions indicate that the 28-year-old arrived in the village and, instead of paying the driver, pulled out a knife and demanded his mobile phone and cash.

After the attack, the young man fled, and the robbed driver sought assistance from the police.

Law enforcement quickly identified the perpetrator and recovered the stolen money and phone.

Media reports state that the victim, the taxi driver, is a young man living in the capital.
