Lawyers for Khachatryan Sisters to File Motion to Suspend Criminal Case
Lawyers for the Khachatryan sisters, who are suspected of murdering their father in Moscow, Russia, are preparing to request the suspension of the criminal case due to the lack of elements of a crime and evidence. This was reported by Комсомольская правда, citing lawyer Alexey Parshin.
According to him, all examination results indicate that the girls were only acting in self-defense and were compelled to commit such a horrific act.
“They were in a state of necessary defense. Psychological examination confirms this. They were constantly subjected to a crime, and the sisters lived under psychological pressure,” said the lawyer.
After May 20, the lawyers intend to address the Investigative Committee with a motion to terminate the investigation.
It is worth recalling that earlier today it became known that the investigation has revealed disturbances in the father’s behavior. The girls' mother confirmed that investigators have obtained evidence of sexual violence against the sisters.
Kristina, Angelina, and Maria Khachatryan were arrested last July. The sisters stabbed their father 40 times in their apartment.
