Journalists Boycott Court Hearing for Robert Kocharyan's Case
Due to technical issues with the microphones, journalists boycotted the court hearing for the third President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, achieving the desired outcome. As a result of the boycott, journalists were allowed to follow the court proceedings from a designated area for participants, ensuring that the voices of all parties involved were clearly audible.
Previously, journalists had been observing the hearing from a section allocated for citizens, which was separated from the area designated for court participants by glass. From that location, only the voice of the presiding judge was audible to the journalists, while the voices of other participants in the trial were unclear. Journalists even submitted a request to the court to address the issues with the microphones, but the problem remained unresolved.
According to Armenpress, the court proceedings are ongoing, with Robert Kocharyan’s attorney, Aram Orbelyan, delivering a speech.
