Remarkable Facts on Granting Disability Status to Soldiers

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Zaruhi Batoyan, recently appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office. In an interview with the newspaper "Zhoghovurd," she revealed that remarkable facts have come to light regarding the granting or denial of disability status to soldiers.

"We are talking about a specific number of servicemen, whose cases have been reviewed, and as a result of the review, several of them have been stripped of their disability status altogether, while others have had their degree of disability reduced. Since this has been linked to the provision of housing and queuing, we have requested that the prosecutor's office investigate whether this process was lawful and, in general, whether the review of these groups was carried out lawfully," she said.

In other words, there were people who, for various interests, simply deprived individuals of their entitlements," the newspaper writes.
