Penalty for Not Paying or Paying Late for Parking Will Decrease From 5000 to 3000 AMD

The "Haykakan Zhamanak" newspaper reports: According to a decision by the Yerevan City Council, the penalty for not paying the parking fee of 100 AMD per hour or paying it late will be changed. The Yerevan City Hall and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure are working on a project to amend Article 124.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which will reduce the penalty from 5000 AMD to 3000 AMD.

It should be noted that since 2012, the Yerevan City Council has established local fee rates for parking vehicles, charging 100 AMD per hour. The Council has also set a free parking period of 15 minutes, after which a penalty of 5000 AMD was applied, which has caused numerous complaints among the population.
