Search Operations in Prisons

On May 13, around 13:40, employees of the RA Ministry of Justice's "Artik" penitentiary discovered a mobile phone with its subscriber card during a personal search of inmate Zh. M.'s friend who came to visit. This was reported by the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice.

On the same day, through unscheduled searches at the RA Ministry of Justice's "Armavir" penitentiary, a mobile phone was found in one of the cells' storage. In another cell, a mobile phone and a factory-produced deck of playing cards were discovered from a convict.

Meanwhile, in the "Vanadzor" penitentiary, unexpected searches by Penitentiary Service employees resulted in the discovery of four mobile phones, five subscriber cards, five chargers, one Wi-Fi device, two headphones, one homemade knife, and a communication device made with a handmade rope.

On May 8 and 10, employees of the RA Ministry of Justice's "Artik" penitentiary discovered a mobile phone in the storage of one of the cells during unscheduled searches; another mobile phone was found in the left pocket of convict V. N.

The items found have been seized, and materials are being prepared.
