Sargis Kloyan: Supporters of Kocharyan Said They Were Given 10,000 Dram

The trial concerning the measure of restraint for Robert Kocharyan continues at the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan.

Sargis Kloyan, father of one of the victims of March 1, also arrived at the court session.

When asked by a reporter why he wants to enter the courtroom, Kloyan replied, "I am not allowed to speak today, I do not have the right, but as a citizen, I want to be present."

Kloyan characterized the incident that took place yesterday between supporters of Gasparyan and Kocharyan in the courthouse yard as "hooliganism." When asked why he believes the supporters acted in such a manner, Kloyan responded, "Because money has been distributed; what else can they do, they have to shout in exchange for money. The whole Armenian people know who they are, what they want, and how they violated constitutional order. Who are these? They are mercenaries for hire, who doesn’t know this... Supporters of Kocharyan said they were given 10,000 dram, and then they were told, 'Give us 15,000 and we will stand by you...'"
