False Terror Threat Made from Nubarashen Penitentiary, NSS Confirms
The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has reported that urgent operational-investigative measures have revealed that the terror threat issued from the government’s third building was false. This information was provided by the NSS press office.
The call was made by an individual in detention at the Nubarashen penitentiary, who faces charges of robbery, embezzlement, and forgery. During an unexpected search carried out in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice’s special investigation service, officers discovered a 'wi-fi' device, a charger, and five mobile phones in the detainee's cell, along with the SIM card used to make the false bomb threat.
The NSS is preparing materials in connection with the false report of terrorism.
It is worth reminding that on May 14, at 14:10, a call was received on the police hotline indicating that an explosive device was placed in the government’s third building. Employees were evacuated from the building, and it was later determined that the alarm was unfounded.
