Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Ararat Province; Pedestrian Dies in Hospital

On May 11, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Ararat Province.

At approximately 21:30, Samvel Amiryan, a 54-year-old resident of Ararat Province, struck a man aged around 50-55 with his Honda vehicle, license plate number 04 QD 055, on the 30 km stretch of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene, called for an ambulance, and assisted in transporting the injured pedestrian to the Artashat medical center.

Authorities from the 2nd platoon of the 1st battalion of the Road Police arrived at the scene, led by Platoon Commander Karapet Harutyunyan.

While the senior investigator of the same battalion, Margar Margarayan, was conducting an inspection at the scene, the hospital reported that the pedestrian had died in the intensive care unit.
