Prices Rise Again: Bread, Flour, Bakery Products, Cereals, and Poultry Become More Expensive
According to the newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak," prices for bread and flour in Armenia have risen once again. Official statistics indicate that in April of this year, compared to the same time last year, flour prices increased by 6.2%, while bread prices rose by 5.3%. In addition, flour prices jumped by 11.3% compared to March, while bread saw a slight increase of 0.2%.
In parallel, prices for bakery products and cereals have also gone up. Furthermore, the price of poultry is steadily climbing in the local market.
The Armenian Statistical Committee has also recorded an increase in poultry prices. This April, compared to April of the previous year, poultry prices rose by 13.4%, and compared to this year’s March, the increase was 0.8%.
The price of one kilogram of poultry in the republic has increased by approximately 300 drams. It is noteworthy that there has been a continuous rise in production in the poultry sector over the last few years.
