Hayk Marutyan Requests Armenia TV Not to Broadcast His Films Anymore but Receives Rejection
According to the newspaper 'Hraparak,' Armenia TV reminds the Armenian public almost daily who Hayk Marutyan was before becoming the mayor. His comedies, where he embodies various entertaining characters like Garnik Azizyan and Super Mama, are constantly aired on screen.
Commercials featuring him promoting various products and services are also prevalent. Interestingly, Garnik, from the series 'Azizyanner,' passed away during the elections in Yerevan, but in one of the episodes, Rouzani's mother asks, 'Where is that chump of yours?' to which Rouzani responds that he has gone abroad.
Hayk Marutyan's films and clips are owned by the television company, and he decides whether to air them or not.
However, it turns out that all this does not sit well with Hayk Marutyan. We learned that the mayor of Yerevan approached Armenia TV requesting that they no longer broadcast films featuring him, but the television company apologized and rejected his request. Despite this, the new owner of the station, Arthur Janibekyan, is doing everything to please the new authorities.
