Participant of Artashat Medical Center Director Competition to Sue Ararat Region Governor

Participant Taron Gasparyan, who did not win the competition for the director of the Artashat Medical Center, is preparing to file a lawsuit against Ararat Regional Governor Garik Sargsyan. Gasparyan has been struggling to obtain the recording of the competition proceedings from the governor's office and has decided to acquire it through the court, as reported by Hetq.am.

Gasparyan has worked as a military doctor for eight years. He participated in the director's competition of the Artashat Medical Center on April 2 but did not make it past the second round. In an interview with Hetq, Gasparyan claimed that the commission held a biased attitude towards him, asserting that it was predetermined that the medical center director would be appointed from among the "preferred candidates of the governor," specifically Hayk Hambardzumyan.

The candidates for the director of the Artashat Medical Center were Taron Gasparyan and Hayk Hambardzumyan, the current acting director of the hospital.

"Besides our mutual acquaintances' conversations, I was also made to understand this from the governor's office. In other words, it was clear that the governor's preferred candidate was (Hayk Hambardzumyan), so I shouldn't bother unnecessarily," Gasparyan stated in the interview with Hetq.

Gasparyan did not advance from the oral phase of the competition, where he was supposed to answer five questions from a questionnaire. While the commission stated that he answered three out of the five questions incorrectly, Gasparyan insists that he answered at least four questions correctly. He is confident that the governor's office is withholding the competition recording because it would prove that he did not provide three incorrect answers, while the commission showed bias towards the other participant.
