Arsen Torosyan to Appeal to NSS Regarding Fake Accounts

Health Minister Arsen Torosyan is preparing to appeal to the National Security Service (NSS). The reason is certain Facebook users who are spreading misinformation about vaccinations in specific groups, thus affecting the decrease in vaccination numbers. This information was conveyed to Factor.am by Minister Arsen Torosyan.

“I believe the NSS should deal with them; we will probably address this issue. In general, any matter related to national security should be handled by the NSS. Preventing outbreaks is a matter of our national security,” the minister noted.

In response to Factor.am's clarifying question about when they would appeal to the NSS regarding neutralizing fakes, Arsen Torosyan replied, “During our work, I cannot specify a particular day; we always cooperate, and information exchange takes place.”

It is noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also addressed NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan regarding issues related to fake accounts. To date, the public is aware of only one revealed fake account, that of “Dukhov Hayastan.”
