Many Stores Refusing to Accept Returns Within Two Weeks. The Law Will Be Toughened

Although it is a legal requirement that buyers have the right to return non-food products within two weeks of purchase, many stores are simply refusing to comply with this norm, exploiting citizens' lack of awareness. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments, Tigran Khachatryan, during a meeting with journalists.

“We will make it a mandatory legal norm that every economic operator is obliged to announce in a visible place, through a clear and understandable information leaflet, that they are required to ensure the return or exchange of goods within two weeks, so that it does not become a matter of discretionary arbitrariness,” said Khachatryan.

“At first glance, it is a simple regulation, but it has matured and is necessary: we will present this to the National Assembly soon, and we will have a regulation that will simplify the lives of our citizens in daily life,” added Tigran Khachatryan.
