After Demolition, Former Mayor's Son's Cafe Area Granted to Founding Member of QO

A citizen named Karen Grigoryan has sent a letter to Tert.am, alerting that a permit has been granted to Arthur Avagyan, a founding member of the ‘Citizen's Decision’ party, to construct a cafe at the intersection of Margaryan and Halabyan streets. The citizen has also provided photographs of the ongoing construction. Here is the letter and the photos in full:

“In the area of the park adjacent to Armenia Medical Center, specifically at the Margaryan-Halabyan intersection, there used to be an outdoor cafe that, according to rumors, belonged to the son of the former head of Ajapnyak administrative district, Artsrun Khachatryan.

During the post-revolutionary period, that cafe was demolished, and no one was allowed to build a cafe in that area. However, the attached photographs indicate that someone has indeed been granted permission to construct a cafe in that location, and construction works are currently underway at full speed. Reliable sources have informed that this privileged individual is Arthur Avagyan, a founding member of the ‘Citizen's Decision’ party.

This situation raises questions about the recent actions taken by party members against Gagik Tsarukyan, the president of the GHK party. It appears that QO members are more adept at serving the interests of a single individual, specifically Arthur Avagyan, as they attempt to initiate some process, albeit absurdly, based on his interests.

By correlating the facts, one can conclude that the permit to construct this cafe was precisely the price at which the QO members have become active in the past few days, akin to a tempest in a teapot.

As they say, the circus continues. That’s all for now.”
