LIVE: How the stalls on Nar-Dos Street are being dismantled

Earlier today, we reported that by the decision of the administration of the Central district of Yerevan, the stalls located along Nar-Dos Street are being dismantled. The reason provided is that the stalls obstruct traffic. Currently, it is known that 2 stalls have been dismantled. The remaining stalls are also subject to dismantling.

"The stalls are located on the sidewalks, and they are metal. Moreover, their owners have not submitted any documents because they do not have any," said Manuel Margaryan, head of the urban planning and land use department of the Central district administration.

According to the official, all stalls located on sidewalks or green areas will be dismantled in phases. At the moment, the dismantling process is being monitored by Viktor Mnatsakanyan, the head of the Central district administration. In a conversation with reporters, he stated that the decision to dismantle the stalls on Nar-Dos Street was made several months ago. Notifications have been sent to the business owners. Some have agreed to the dismantling, as they have illegally occupied the sidewalks since 1996. Today, 4 kiosks will be dismantled, and the area will be improved.
