A Lynx Has Been Filmed Again in Vayots Dzor

A lynx has been filmed again in Vayots Dzor. The filming was conducted as part of a collaboration between WWF Armenia and the "Bezoar" environmental foundation. It was published on the WWF Armenia Facebook page.

In Armenia, a conservation program for the Caucasian lynx is being implemented. The species is registered in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia and placed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List with a "critical" status. Currently, there are 7-9 lynxes recorded in Armenia, with their habitats located in the regions of Ararat, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik.
