Warm Air Streams to Arrive in Armenia - Gagik Surenyan
Starting from April 24, Armenia will be under the influence of tropical warm air currents penetrating from Iraq. This information was shared on Facebook by Gagik Surenyan, the head of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' meteorological service.
In his post, he specifically stated: “The air temperature will gradually rise by 10-12 degrees during the daytime across the republic from April 24-27 compared to today. Warming up by 2-3 degrees day by day, by April 27, the daytime air temperature in mountainous areas will reach +13 to +16 degrees, in pre-mountainous areas +18 to +20 degrees, and in valley areas +20 to +22 degrees. In Yerevan, the daytime temperature of +8 to +10 degrees today will be replaced by +20 to +22 degrees on April 27.”
On April 22, precipitation will continue in most regions; in mountainous areas, including Lori, Tavush, Syunik, and Artsakh, there will be snowfall. Strong winds will prevail today, with wind speeds reaching 15-20 m/s in some places. On April 23-24, the cyclone will begin to weaken, and precipitation will occur sporadically and very briefly, while from April 25-27, dry weather is expected across the entire territory of the republic.
