Investigators Determine Origin of Notre-Dame Fire

French police have managed to identify the section of Notre-Dame Cathedral from where the fire started.

According to international news sources, experts have reviewed various videos and photographs of the fire, and now believe that the ignition point was located in the central part of the cathedral, near the base of the spire.

As part of the investigation, police are reportedly paying special attention to the cathedral's fire alarm system. There is a hypothesis that the indicators of the fire alarm system may not have functioned correctly. They reached this conclusion after the cathedral's security service noticed the blaze when the flames had already risen to nearly 3 meters.

Previously, it was reported that the fire alarm system at Notre-Dame Cathedral had been activated twice. The first time, staff were unable to detect the outbreak. This became evident only 23 minutes later, when the alarm sounded a second time.
