Simon Martirosyan Becomes Double Champion at European Championship

Member of the Armenian men's weightlifting team, Simon Martirosyan, has become a double champion at the European Championship held in Batumi, Georgia.

In the 109 kg weight category in the snatch event, Simon Martirosyan first lifted 187 kg, followed by 192 kg, claiming a bronze medal.

In the clean and jerk event, the athlete lifted 225 kg in his first attempt and 235 kg in his second attempt. Martirosyan also secured another bronze medal in this category. With a combined total of 427 kg, Simon Martirosyan became the European champion of 2019.
