Heads of Police Departments Dismissed

By the order of the Chief of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Valery Osipyan, Arman Melkonyan, the head of the Martuni police department, has been dismissed from his position and moved to the police personnel reserve.

According to Shamshyan.com, referring to its own sources, he is better known to the public as the son of a general. His father is Gagik Melkonyan, the former Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia.

By another order of V. Osipyan, Vahan Arakelyan, head of the Nor Hachn police department, has also been dismissed and moved to the police personnel reserve. By another order of the Chief of Police, Artak Mkrtchyan has been appointed as the head of the Nor Hachn police department.
