Diaspora Armenian Businessmen Present Investment Plans to the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a group of Diaspora Armenian investors led by Gagik Makaryan, the president of the Armenian Employers Union.

Pashinyan emphasized the importance of meetings with investors and discussions regarding the improvement of the business environment and various investment programs. He noted that these gatherings provide a good opportunity for government members to hear the questions, problems, and suggestions raised by businessmen.

Gagik Makaryan informed that due to the positive developments taking place in Armenia, new groups of investors are preparing to arrive from abroad in the near future, interested in implementing investment programs across various sectors under improved business environment conditions. He stated that Armenia’s standing among investors is continually strengthening, presenting a good opportunity for attracting new investments.

Subsequently, investors presented to the Prime Minister their proposed investment plans in the energy, construction, and advanced technology sectors, followed by a productive discussion.

Pashinyan mentioned that the government of Armenia welcomes the initiatives of businessmen and is ready to support the implementation of investment programs within the framework of its mechanisms. The Prime Minister also suggested that they examine the government’s proposed investment packages in the energy sector and participate in their competitions if possible.

Investors expressed their support for the policies of the government led by Nikol Pashinyan and the steps taken towards improving the business environment, expressing confidence that these measures will not only attract foreign investors but also help to mobilize the potential of Diaspora Armenian businessmen at home.
