Authorities Have Started Working with the Former Officials: ‘Hraparak’

‘Hraparak’ newspaper writes: ‘No one from the National Assembly’s European Integration Committee participated in the extensive and representative visit to Germany by the Speaker of the National Assembly. Do you consider this normal?’ we asked Gayane Abrahamyan, a member of the committee.

‘I consider it normal, because, in essence, the visit itself was not completely about European integration; it was diverse, including economic matters. That’s why it was important that Babken Tunyan and Tsovinar Vardanyan were part of the delegation,’ she noted.

However, the media provided a different interpretation, explaining the issue with Arman Yeghoyan and Ararat Mirzoyan. ‘I am not aware if there is such a dilemma or not; at least I have not noticed,’ she stated.

Interestingly, the relations with the ‘former officials’ are also evolving. Recently, at the conference dedicated to EU-Armenia relations, you were present with the ‘former officials,’ and Ruben Rubinyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Foreign Relations Committee, highlighted the work of the ‘former officials’ regarding CEPA. During the break, there were conversations, greetings, and discussions about whether the ‘situation has changed.’

‘You know, even before going to Euronest, Mikayel Hayrapetyan met with Armen Ashotyan; this was continuous work, and I can confidently say that when Mr. Ashotyan was leading the Euronest parliamentary delegation, significant work was done, and that work should have been maintained at the institutional level. In the case of EU-Armenia relations and agreements, when it comes to state interests, there will never be significant differences between the former and the new,’ he added.
