VIDEO: Police Arrest Subutex Dealer

Officers from the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Police, along with partners from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Police for the city of Yerevan, discovered a man suspected of drug possession and use in Shengavit.

The 55-year-old Vardges M., who lives in Yerevan, was searched in the presence of witnesses. Two packages were discovered: one contained a whole pill labeled 'B8', while the other contained a piece of a pill marked '8'. According to the detained individual, the substance found was Subutex.

The police continued operational-investigative measures to determine from whom he had acquired the Subutex. Their coordinated efforts yielded results on the same day.

A 36-year-old resident of Yerevan, Vazgen G., was located within hours and was taken into custody on suspicion of drug trafficking. He was presented to the authority conducting the preliminary investigation, after which he was arrested by court decision and transferred to a correctional facility. The circumstances of the case are currently under investigation.
