Arshaluytsi Residents Demand Early Elections

Residents of Arshaluyts are demanding early elections. Today, they closed the Armavir-Yerevan road, but after one hour, Armavir Governor Hambardzum Matevosyan came to meet with them, and at his urging, the road was reopened.

The residents are protesting against the acting village head Karen Simonyan, whom they consider to be subordinate to the village head Zarsand Grigoryan. They are calling for a temporary representative from the regional administration to be sent to manage the village. The regional administration has reported that a criminal case has been initiated against the village head and urged the residents to wait.

It is worth noting that protests against village head Zarsand Grigoryan began last summer. For the past two months, the villagers have not allowed the village administration to reopen.
