Heavy Snow, Black Ice, and Fog: Armenian Roads Impassable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that there are closed and impassable roads across the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed.
The Dilijan bends are closed for heavy trucks.
The roads from Sotk to Karvachar, Ashotzk to Amasia, Kajaran to Goris, and the roads in the Hrazdan region of Kotayk, as well as those in Tavush and Lori provinces, including the area known as "Meghri Mountain," are difficult to traverse.
Black ice has formed on the roads in Lanjik-Mastara, the intercommunity roads in Aragatsotn Province’s Aparan and Aragats, and in the Ashotzk region of Shirak Province.
Snowfall is reported in Lori, Kotayk, Tavush, and Shirak provinces, and in the towns of Goris in Syunik Province, Sevan, Chambarak in Gegharkunik Province, Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province, Aparan in Aragatsotn Province, Talin, as well as in Hrazdan region of Kotayk, and areas known as Saravan-Zanger and Meghri Mountain.
A snowstorm has affected the Artik-Alagyaz road.
Fog is present in Goris and Kajaran in Syunik Province (low visibility), as well as in the area known as "Meghri Mountain."
According to information received from Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
