We Have No Information on Levon Sargsyan's Discovery: Chief Prosecutor

The Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Arthur Davtyan, stated that they currently have no information regarding the discovery of Levon Sargsyan, the brother of the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.

In a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly, he mentioned that the extradition process begins only when a person is found, arrested, and law enforcement agencies in Armenia are notified, as was the case with Narek Sargsyan.

When asked about the statement from NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan, who claimed they know Levon Sargsyan's whereabouts in one of the Arab countries, the Chief Prosecutor responded: “The NSS director may have various operational information to generously share with you. Sharing with us is a pleasant process, but it has no significance from a criminal procedural perspective. When the authorities of that country discover and inform us, only then will my actions commence. The confirmation lies in the fact that law enforcement agencies find him; the rest is of no significance to me.”
