Updated: What is the Situation on the Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of March 26, at 09:00, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed.
The roads that are difficult to pass include the Sotk-Karpachar road, the Dilijan bends (for trucks), and the inter-community roads in the Ashotsk region of Shirak province, as well as the roads to the villages of Melikgugh, Charchakis, Dzoraglukh, and T'tujur in Aragatsotn province.
There is black ice in areas called “Meghru Sar” and in the cities of Kajaran, Goris, in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn province, and on the Lanjik-Mastara and Sevan-Martuni roads.
In Lori province, in Tavush province's Noyemberyan and Ijevan, in the Aragatsotn region's Talin, Aparan, Aragats, and in Gegharquniq province's Gavar city, there are snowfall and precipitation in the form of snow.
In the cities of Kajaran and Goris in Syunik province, in the area known as “Meghru Sar,” in the bends of Dilijan, and on the Sotk-Karpachar road, there is also fog.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
According to the information obtained from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation’s North Ossetia Republic, there are currently 179 vehicles accumulated on the Russian side, including 132 trucks and 47 passenger cars.
