RAF Vehicle Reduced to Ashes, Homeless Found Inside
An extraordinary incident occurred in the Ararat Province on March 23. At around 22:20, the Masis police department received a report that a vehicle was on fire at the Masis station and it seemed that a person was inside.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police and investigators have determined that under still unknown circumstances, a RAF brand vehicle belonging to 28-year-old Vrej Ghazaryan, a resident of Shushi, Artsakh, who had no permanent residence, was burning. The vehicle was parked on Gortsaranayin Street at the Masis station.
As a result of the fire, a 12-year-old child identified as N. M., suffering from "45 percent body surface area burns, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns," was transported to Masis Medical Center, from where the child was transferred to the burn center in Yerevan.
According to G. Shamshyan, the individuals were living as homeless inside the RAF vehicle, which had turned into a pile of ashes.
