Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Visits Yenokavan Community in Tavush Province

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Yenokavan community in Tavush province on March 24. According to the press service of the Prime Minister's Office, he was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Edward Aghajanyan, and Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan.

During the visit, the Prime Minister was presented with the "Yenokavan Development Strategy 2025" project, which focuses on the development of tourism and infrastructure in the community.

The strategy aims to transform Yenokavan into an adventure tourism center, increasing the annual number of tourist visits from the current 50,000 to 250,000. It is planned to attract several dozen million dollars in investments by 2025, expanding the number of tourist destinations and creating new jobs.

It was noted that in 2018, the revenue from the tourism sector in Yenokavan amounted to 1.5 million dollars, with expectations to raise that figure to nearly 13 million dollars by 2025.

Additionally, it was reported that steps are already being taken to develop the main land-use plan for Yenokavan.

Prime Minister Pashinyan welcomed and emphasized the importance of the implementation of the strategy, stating that the government is ready to provide support within its available resources for the further steps in realizing the programs and investment projects outlined in the strategy.
