Larsi Highway Closed for All Types of Vehicles; 142 Vehicles Stuck on the Russian Side

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 24 at 13:55, there are impassable roads within the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is impassable only for trucks with trailers, while the Sotk-Karvachar highway is closed for trucks only. Snow is recorded in Shirak Province, as well as in the town of Aparan, Talin in Aragatsotn Province, Berd and Dilijan in Tavush Province, and in Jermuk city in Vayots Dzor Province. Blizzards are observed in the Ashotsk and Amasia regions of Shirak Province.

The Stepanavan-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles. According to information received from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of North Ossetia, there are 142 vehicles piled up on the Russian side, of which 115 are trucks and 27 are passenger vehicles.
