The Cleanup Initiative Kicks Off Under the Leadership of the Prime Minister
Under the initiative of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development, a nationwide cleanup event is being held today across the entire republic as part of the “Clean Armenia” program.
In Yerevan, staff from the National Assembly and MPs are participating in the cleanup near the statue of Vardan Mamikonyan.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was scheduled to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of the National Theater today, after which he was to join the cleanup. However, upon seeing the litter in the surrounding area, he declared that he would not proceed with the groundbreaking ceremony under such conditions. He urged his assistants to remove the cars from the area, donned gloves, picked up a shovel, and officially launched the cleanup initiative.
