A heated debate arose during today’s session of the Yerevan City Council between the members of the ‘My Step’ faction and Haik Hovhannisyan.

Hovhannisyan referred to Ani Khachatryan's suggestion, stating: “Yerevan city is not a draft paper; we have a firm stance regarding naming issues,” during the extraordinary session of the city council today, responding to the proposal by ‘Luminous’ faction member Ani Khachatryan to rename the Rodnina Figure Skating School.

Following the aforementioned proposal, a debate ensued among the council members.
