Updated: Road Conditions in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of March 22 at 00:00, there are closed and difficult to pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed only for cargo vehicles.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to pass only for cargo vehicles.

In the city of Goris in Syunik province and the area known as "Meghri Mountain," there is fog.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Ongoing

Construction works are taking place on the segment of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from the 39th km to Bagratashen.

The following alternative routes for transportation have been established:

For internal transportation towards the cities of Alaverdi and Vanadzor and nearby settlements:

1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi via the sections towards the Georgian border.

Since June 30, 2018, until March 22 of this year, construction works have been underway on the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road, resulting in the closure of approximately 200 meters of the roadway to one-way traffic.
