Video: Death Toll from Ferry Disaster on Tigris River Rises to 85
The death toll from the capsizing of a ferry on the Tigris River in Mosul, Iraq, has reached 85.
According to reports from the BBC, the ferry was carrying nearly 100 passengers, most of whom were women and children who did not know how to swim.
It has been reported that authorities had warned about the high water levels, but the transport company ignored the advice. A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident.
