Vehicles Blocked on the Road: Opel, Mercedes, VAZ 2106, Nissan, KamAZ and Others - Ministry of Emergency Situations

On March 17, at 22:22, the "911" service received a report that a vehicle had gone off the road and was blocked in snow on the road in the village of Lusagugh in the Aragatsotn region; assistance from rescuers was needed. This information is provided by the official site of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

A firefighting-rescue team was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers managed to bring an Opel Zafira (with 5 passengers) out of the blockade.

On March 17, at 22:04, the "911" service reported that vehicles were blocked in snow at the Vardenyats pass; assistance from rescuers was needed. A firefighting-rescue team was dispatched to the area. It was determined that 2 heavy-duty trucks and 10 passenger vehicles (with 24 passengers) were blocked on the M-10 interstate highway between the 27th and 35th kilometers of the Getap-Martuhi section. Rescuers used special equipment provided by the State Traffic Safety Service to free the vehicles from the blockade.

On March 17, at 21:02, the "911" service received a report that a vehicle was blocked in snow on the road in the village of Tavshut in Shirak region; assistance from rescuers was needed. A firefighting-rescue team was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers managed to free 2 vehicles (with 5 passengers) from the blockade.

On March 17, at 19:32, the "911" service received a call that vehicles were blocked in mud near the gas station on the Jrvazh-Nubarashen highway; assistance from rescuers was needed. A rescue team from the MES Special Rescue Operations Center was dispatched to the scene. It was found that vehicles were blocked near the bridge in Nubarashen.

Rescuers managed to bring out a KamAZ, a Mercedes ML, and a VAZ 2106 from the blockade.

On March 17, at 19:31, the "911" service received a report that a vehicle was blocked in snow near the peninsula of Lake Sevan in Gegharkunik region; assistance from rescuers was needed. A rapid response group from the MES Special Water Rescue team was dispatched. It was found that a Mercedes E320 was blocked near the village of Tsamakaberd. The water rescuers brought the vehicle out from the blockade.

On March 17, at 19:26, the "911" service was informed that on the return route from the previous call (85th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri road), firefighters-rescuers noticed vehicles stuck in snow near the village of Mastara in Aragatsotn region. Rescuers managed to free 6 vehicles from the blockade.

On March 17, at 19:04, the "911" service received a call that a vehicle was blocked in snow on the Ashotzk-Sepasar highway; assistance from rescuers was needed. A firefighting-rescue team was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers managed to free 5 vehicles (with 15 passengers) from the blockade.

On March 17, at 18:22, the "911" service received a report that a vehicle had gone off the roadway in the village of Tavshut in Shirak region and was blocked in snow; assistance from rescuers was needed. A firefighting-rescue team was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers transported 2 passengers from a Nissan X-trail to the firefighting-rescue unit.
