Updated: The Ministry of Emergency Situations Warns of Impassable and Closed Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of March 18 at 09:46, there are closed and impassable roads within the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed.

The following roads are impassable: Sotk-Karvachar, Berd-Chambarak, inter-community roads in the regions of Amasia and Ashotsk in Shirak Province, and the inter-community roads of Ktujur, Yeghipatrush, Chknagh, Kucak, Dzoraglukh, and Vardenis villages in Aragatsotn Province.

There are patches of black ice on the Sotk-Karvachar and Aragats-Talin roads.

In Syunik Province, snow precipitation has been observed on the Sisian-Zanger road and in the area known as Meghru Sar.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
