Truck Loaded with 15 Tons of Linens Turns into Ash Heap at Bagratashen Customs
The investigative department of the Novemberyan Police is preparing materials regarding a major fire that occurred on March 16 in Tavush Province.
At around 20:57, the 9-11 operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report that a truck was on fire at the Bagratashen crossing point.
According to Shamshyan.com, firefighters and police discovered that at approximately 20:40, a truck owned by a 55-year-old citizen of the Republic of Belarus, Yosif Tomchik, was completely burned along with its cargo of 14.5 tons.
According to G. Shamshyan's information, the truck was carrying linens, socks, paper, calendars, and other items. The driver works for the “Lori Company.” It was also found that the vehicle was located near the customs area of Bagratashen, in front of the Spayka LLC, at the roadside, and preliminary information suggests that the cause of the fire was a short circuit.
