Accident Involving 9 Vehicles in Yerevan Leaves Injured

Early this morning, Aurora Media received numerous calls regarding traffic jams on Gay and Myasnikyan avenues.

According to Shamshyan.com, at around 06:50, a collision occurred at the beginning of Gay and Myasnikyan avenues, near the popular Avan Bridge, involving several vehicles: a Hyundai with license plate 35 TV 434, a Nissan Teana with license plate 35 PD 515, a Lexus GX 470 with license plate 35 GR 161, a BMW with license plate 88 TФ 887, a passenger bus with license plate 4555 T, a Kia Sorento with license plate 77 AV 757, a passenger Hyundai with license plate 1237 T, an Alteza with license plate 35 RD 503, and an Opel with license plate 36 MV 001.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan at the scene, two individuals were taken to St. Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center with bodily injuries. Officers from the road police's first battalion, led by squad commander Arshak Sahakyan, arrived at the scene. Senior inspector Arshak Arakelyan and inspector Artak Sambatyan from the same squad are currently working on-site.
